Canine Presence was conceived from our desire to provide community therapeutic services that encourage and promote the benefits of Professional Pet Assisted Therapy (PPAT) and Music therapy education.

HMEA’s Employment Services – Franklin provides adults with autism and other developmental disabilities the opportunity to explore career opportunities, learn new skills, and find employment. We offer a wide range of programs including vocational skills assessment, career planning, resume development, soft skill training, job identification, placement, and on-site job coaching.
The purpose the AKC program is to recognize the necessary work performed by therapy dogs.
- The AKC Therapy Dog™ program awards official AKC titles to dogs who have worked to improve the lives of the people they have visited.
- AKC Therapy Dog titles can be earned by dogs who have been certified by AKC recognized therapy dog organizations and have performed the required number of visits.
Windwalker Professional Pet Assisted Therapy is made up of professionals, Pet Assisted Therapy (PAT) facilitators, and students dedicated to pet-assisted therapy.
